I don’t even feel the need to comment any further on the fans that are complaining about Adam changing, but if you’re going to complain, don’t tag it as “Adam Young” or “Owl City” because it’s obviously pissing the fans off that actually like the new sound even more.
I haven’t even heard the songs yet and because of the complainers, I’m afraid of what I’m going to think. Even if the new EP isn’t omgfantastici’mgoingtocry, I’m still going to love and support Adam no matter what. We should all know how hard he worked on this. Would you want someone telling you that your project that you put SO much into a piece of crap?
Adam has saved me numerous times from myself and for that, I owe him a lot, and I know for a fact he’s helped a lot of other fans too. Would you say something bad about the person who helped you out? Because to me, that shows that you’re a bad person.
Now for the people who haven’t been necessarily “saved” and just like Adam and majority of his work…just because you don’t like the new sound doesn’t mean everyone wants to hear about it. And yeesh, stop being so worried about Adam becoming “mainstream.” I’m not saying I’m not generally okaygoforit with the whole thing, but what are you going to do? You can’t block every single radio station from playing Owl City.
Adam is a very down to earth and level headed person and must know how to at least have some hold on fame, because hello Fireflies and just all of his talent in general. What artists aim to do it get big and then there are the genuin artists who want to do more and help their fans along the way. That’s what Adam is doing. Just because he’s getting “big,” doesn’t mean he’s going to walk away from the people (fans) who got him there. Wait does that sound weird because I think it does. Oh well.
Chillax and just enjoy what music of his you do like and stop complaining about what you don’t like.
